The Tsunami is our largest model tarp. It can be configured as a hot tent with an optional stovejack, for use with a portable woodstove. It has a 13-foot ridgeline and is 177 inches wide (14’9” wide). With the doors closed it has a footprint of approximately 13’x 8’. It is tall enough for a 6’ person to stand upright at the ends. Headroom height can be notably increased by pitching at 7’ wide instead of 8’.

Stuffsacks for tarp and poles
Optional Add-ons:
An available windskirt: A 10” wide strip of fabric all the way around the perimeter that lays along the ground. You can lay it to the outside or the inside of the hot tent. Lay rocks or sticks on it to hold it down and block any drafts from coming in under the bottom edge of the tarp.
Stovejack patch: An optional add-on made from a heat and flame-resistant fabric to turn the Tsunami tarp into a Hot tent (sometimes called a woodstove tent). Just cut a hole to fit your size stovepipe. Location options include “left” or “right” side of the tarp (left option is shown in the product photos and is recommended for standard-lay hammockers (head left/feet right). Stovejack will require a 45 deg elbow on your stove as shown in the photos. We can also place the stovejack 10” down from the ridge seam in the woodstove tent if you want to use a vertical stovepipe instead, it will not be compatible with a hammock, but If you want this option please email us that request immediately after ordering as well as mention it in the order notes.

Pole kit: 3 lbs, 6 oz
Total weight: 6 lbs, 9oz
Using our Titanium Spikes is appropriate for frozen ground ONLY, Using 8″ or longer Y-stakes are recommended for non-frozen ground.
Note: The side tieout reinforcements are not seam-sealed on the Tsunami hot tent, if you opt not to seal them the upper row may leak slightly. Some seal them some don’t, a tube of silicone sealer is included if you would like to seal them. (see seam seal tutorial on our videos page). The Ridge seam is reinforced with strong low-stretch polyester binding that will shed water like a shingle as long as it is the highest point, it does not need to be sealed.
