The Wooki® underquilt is our full-length down underquilt for the Blackbird, Blackbird XLC, Eldorado, Traveler and Traveler XL hammock models.
Note: the Wooki does not have a reversible lay, it is configured for a head left/feet right lay, we can make a “reverse-lay” configuration but you must order it through the custom underquilt section.
The Wooki-10 fits:
10 foot hammocks such as our:
Original Blackbird
Travelers (non XL versions)
The Wooki-11 fits:
11 foot hammocks such as our:
Blackbird XLC
Eldorado
Traveler XL
Recently updated design (10/1/25) The Wooki® is our full-length down underquilt. It covers the entire bottom of your hammock, but the insulated portion only covers the part you actually lay on, which saves weight and bulk by putting insulation only where it’s needed. The Wooki doesn’t require any adjustment because it fits just like a hammock, it’s essentially a lightweight insulated hammock that slips over your actual hammock. You simply set it and forget it. It features secondary suspension loops (HVAC loops) allowing it to be vented in warmer weather and also to facilitate stacking 2 quilts together to create a warmer quilt if needed. The Wooki-10 (for 10 foot hammocks) fits users up to about 6 feet tall. The Wooki-11 (for 11′ hammocks) fits users up to 6’6″ tall.
The Wooki® underquilt features a dual differential cut 15 denier high threadcount PFC/PFAS-free C0 DWR ripstop nylon shell, and is overstuffed with 850-fill Expi-Dry Gold PFC/PFAS-free DWR goose down which meets the RSD certification (Responsible Down Standard).
Sewn in the USA by Warbonnet
It is possible to use the Wooki on similarly sized non-Warbonnet hammocks as well, the suspension of the Wooki can be lengthened slightly to make this down underquilt fit a longer hammock. Ask us for details if this is your intention.

My custom 20 Wookie w/3oz overfill came in yesterday, I immediately ran to get things set up in the woods near my house to test it in the 21f w/18f windchill weather predicted for the night.
Slept like a bug in an extremely warm rug.
I’m 6’1″ in a BB XLC and even moving around a bit (I’m not ‘restless’ in my sleep, just old and creaky) never got a single bit of a cold spot or draft.
Went bare-bones for the test. No underquilt protector. No tarp. 20+ year old sleeping bag as my topquilt w/150 merino base layers as my PJs. Felt like I could have endured 20 more degrees without issue.
More importantly: My little Siamese Adventure Cat loved it too! We got in the hammock, she curled up next to me and did not MOVE for the rest of the night. If my PossumKitty loves it, that’s good enough for me.
Phenomenal value, quality and service. Thanks guys.

I had a 10 wookie underquilt. I think, that it is a fantastic produkt. The only Thing a am not impressed with is the lengt of the underquilt a am only 180 cm long and it dont cover my feet. A am laying diagonalt. I Thing the guys at warbonnet had made a mistake by Trying to save weight by the lenght of the insulated wookie part. If i could, i would have atleast 20 cm more covered on the underquilt

Great UQ. Got a 0 degree. First time I used it I woke up nice and warm to snowy wonderland covering my tarp and the ground

I have the 20° wookie. Had it down to 27°, winds 20 and could feel the warmth it was providing. An underquilt is highly recommend for any overnight use of any hammocks. Just lay in any hammock on a 60° day when the sun is out without an UQ, that cool breeze on your back will be a lot colder when the sun drops. Highly recommend

I bought a zero * Wookie about 3 yrs ago. Thought I’d use it a while before writing a review.
I’ve gone back and forth using it and a quilt from UGQ. Both are nice and warm, but the Wookie is just set it and forget it. I’ve had cold spots when using it with my Cameleon hammock, but not with the Blackbird. Great quilt.
Joshua –
Under quilt is what it says and will keep you warm. I love the ease of setup only I wish it went up on both sides so I’m not forced into sleeping in a certain position. All in all definitely worth it.

I ordered a 0* Wooki and so far have only gotten it out in 33* weather, but I have never slept warmer or better. Based on the warmth at 33*, I imagine I will be able to go down to the teens with no issues. I used to just use a neo air in my hammock for insulation, because I was always worried about it getting too cold and then needing to go to ground to stay warm, but no more! No more fear of a cold back! The Wooki provides a no hassle, easy to use full length solution to staying warm in a hammock. Overall, the quality and craftsmanship is superb. 1,000% recommended. Thanks, Warbonnet!

Yes.. another review.
Okay, so I love my 20 degree wooki as I mentioned in my last review. I frequently winter camp in temps below 20 so I decided I needed a 0 degree underquilt. For some reason I thought I’d try another style and brand (that just might rhyme with mammock beer), total mistake! I messed with the primary and secondary suspensions as much as possible and always had cold spots, returned it and BOUGHT A SECOND WOOKI!! Now I have a 0 degree winter wooki and a 20 degree spring summer fall wooki. Will not make the mistake of venturing away from Warbonnet’s Wooki ever again.. please forgive me Warbonnet for almost straying away, it won’t happen again!
Buy Warbonnet
Buy Wooki
It gets you quality and reliability.
Keep up the great work WB!

I recently ordered a custom Wooki 40 degree. and I am stoked! The construction on this and the no brainer set up are excellent. So much better than the pad I was trying to use. Even more than that , I am blown away with the personal customer service I received after placing an order for a custom wooki. Let me just say I am so happy to support this business with my business and so happy I chose to go this route with Warbonnet when I first stated building my kit. XLC, Mountain fly, and the Wooki. All separate purchases. Pleased each item I’ve purchased with Warbonnet, Excellent build. Thank you.

Super toasty warm during the cold nights in winter in central Oregon on the Deschutes river! The wooki is a game changer, it stays where it should and insulates in all the right spots. I am 6’4” and I stay warm from head to toes! Stop considering this purchase, JUST BUY IT! You will have no regrets!

Can’t say enough great things about the Wooki. I have the 20 degree Wooki. Brought it into the BWCA on two separate trips now. Both trips dipped down into the 20’s overnight and I was plenty warm, with the exception of the outside of my shoulders (I have very broad shoulders). I just tucked my top quilt around my shoulders to easily fix that. That’s the only reason I would give it 4 stars. I wish it was just a bit wider for us wider folks. Other than that, it packs small and light. Easy to set up. Great product.
Mark Rico (verified owner) –
Warm as it needs to be, light as I want it to be, superbly well made and beautifully proportioned. My 20° Wooki is just right. Well done, WB.
Xand –
Apparently somebody at Warbonnet didn’t appreciate the absurd humor of my original view, so this is my resubmission, minus the weirdness, haha.
I ordered the 20 degree underquilt and I love it. I’m a novice to hammock camping so I’ve never owned an underquilt before. After doing some research and seeing how much fiddling seems to be required to set an underquilt, I decided on this one and was not disappointed.
Once you have the wookie secured, there is no more adjustment needed. It keeps me toasty all might long, packs well, and it is very durable. I know this because I accidentally tried to get into the underquilt rather than the hammock. (Note: don’t make the mistake of having the hammock and uq share the same color…) The carabiner broke, but the UQ was undamaged.
If it gets too hot, I attached a small loop of amsteel to the head end and secured that around the whipping and hang it from that so it could vent. All in all, I highly recommend the purchase.

I bought the 20 degree uq over the summer in preparation for fall and early winter campong and it did not disappoint. There was no fiddling needed, it fit my wbbb perfectly and kept me toasty all night long. I highly recommend it to any wbbb owners. My only disappointment is that it didn’t feel like sleeping on a real wookie. So sadly, my dreams of being held in Chewbacca’s arms have yet to be fulfilled…this is the next best thing. My mother tells me I have issues.

I tested my 0 degree Wookie XL for the first time last night . The temperature was 14F for most of the night yesterday in the Montreal area. It was super warm. In the middle of the night I woke up because I was too hot. I removed all my clothes and stayed like that for the rest of the night . Usually it’s the opposite when winter camping you wake up cold and you need to put more layers.
FYI I used the Wookie with an Hennessys Explorer deluxe hammock. The fit of the quilt on the hammock is perfect. I inserted the UQ between the hammock and the undercover from Hennessy that is a part of the supershelter they sell. I think it’s great. It keep the quilt snug under the hammock without compressing the insulation and probably trap more hot air inside.

I use the 30° Wooki model with my BBXLC, and I absolutely love it. I stay warm and comfortable all night. I absolutely recommend this product. The only thing that frequently happens to me is my arm below the elbow on the head side of the hammock getting cold when in touch with the hammock, as there is no insulation at that point. Adding just one more strip of insulation in, say, half the total length on the side of the head would be perfect.

Added this to my Original Blackbird. Went with a 40 degree and have been super comfy even below that temp! Love how you “set it and forget it”! No bumbling around at night trying to get it right, it just starts out right and stays there!

I love my Wooki! It’s the first under quilt I’ve ever owned, and it couldn’t be easier or quicker to set up – slip on the top end, clip on the bottom end, and it’s done. I’ve read so many comments on forums about how others have had to fuss and tweak with other under quilts to prevent cold air leaks. I’ve never felt a single cold draft with my Wooki. The design of the diagonal baffles also makes so much sense. Can’t go wrong with a Blackbird + Wooki combination!

I love my superfly, can’t wait to get my hammock, Wookiee and too quilt. It seems like it’s taking forever! Great quality on the superfly.

I have no idea about the durability yet, but the stitching, and the quality on this thing seems amazing. I have only had it for a few days 3 season version XL with the BB XLC. only tested down to 10Celcius, but sooo hazel free, just hang it on, and keep hanging. Will never go back to using a sleeping mat. Keep up the good work dudes

Small issue, big praise! New to hammocking I bought the XLC last year, love it! A month ago decided to by the WB top quilt, fantastic work! I ordered the wookie 03-20-18 with a disclaimer 3 to 5 days to ship (with a trip scheduled for the 31st) no problem. It’s 03-29-18 and not shipped yet but now it says 6 to 10 days to ship (no biggie just bummed, my fault) . Word to the wise, don’t wait till you think arrival will be fine, trip postponed. Can’t wait to try out the full system in September. After reading all the great reviews on the wookie I can’t wait to get it out where we belong! If you are green to hammocking and shopping around like I was don’t look any further. Get your gear here and you’ll save some cash vs. buying other stuff and ending up coming back to WB for what you need. Excellent craftsmanship with pride is WARBONNET!
Simply worth it, happy hanging!

Wooki’s rule! Truly can not say enough about these amazing underquilts. Having already tried the sleeping pad route with the Warbonnet Blackbird, graduating to the Wooki has been a seamless pleasure. In both the standard Blackbird and now the XLC, the Wooki’s are set it and forget it installations. Climb into the hammock, settle in and just enjoy a perfectly fitted insulating warmth. The piece of mind that these underquilts provide cannot be understated. Superb quality, high end materials, soft lofty performance. The fact that they’re designed and manufactured by Warbonnet to fit the Blackbirds like a glove is the icing on the cake. Perfect!

Recently purchased a Wooki 20* for use with my XLC. Had the opportunity to use on a recent overnight trip to McAfee Knob. Conditions were 13* with moderate winds and sleet. Thanks to it’s full length coverage and unbelievably easy setup it was able to sleep warm all night with zero cold spots. I bought this underquilt when I got tired of other underquilts shifting. I am super impressed with just how easy this underquilt is to attach, it is truly set it and forget it. The construction quality was second to none.

Cold butt? What? Never heard of it. I use a Wooki underquilt.

Just got back from a trip to Northern NH where the days were warm but the nights dipped down into the upper 30’s. I have a BB XLC and wooki 3-season UQ – LOVE IT! I was toasty warm, you set it and forget it and the craftsmanship is outstanding! I have a question regarding stacking a synthetic 3/4 summer UQ overthe wooki for lower temps – has anyone done this or any advice regarding this? I’ve stacked a 3/4 synthetic over a synthetic full length and the rule of thumb is always the lower temp UQ first then the cooler rated one over that. Any insight would be greatly appreciated! Great products!
Ryan Mesch –
Yes, put the Wooki on first and then put the torso length over it very loosely so it doesn’t compress the Wooki insulation…just tight enough to make a seal and no more
Frank Touart (verified owner) –
The Wooki is a perfect addition to my Warbonnet XLC hammock and Superfly tarp. The quality is fantastic and the setup is very easy. Thank you again Warbonnent for your excellent craftsmanship and quality products.

I ordered my 3 season Wookie on June 15th and received it today, June 26th. I couldn’t be happier with the quality and even though it’s June I couldn’t resist trying it out. It attached simply and quickly and within 3 minutes of laying down I was sweating. (It was even unseasonably cool for where I live) With a compression straps it will pack down very small and will be great for back packing.

I have a 3 Season XL. I have spent several nights in the low 40’s and been quite warm each night. I love that it’s designed to fit my WBB XLC. The insulation is in all the right spots. Setup is absolutely as easy as advertised. Set it and forget it!
Charles Wolfe (verified owner) –
Love the idea of set and forget got down to 37 degrees and my butt was toasty, I did have a problem, when I first got in was warm all over but some time during the night I must have slid down because I woke up with my left shoulder and feet cold I got out to see if something had slid off but both ends where still hooked up got back in and was warm again looked the next morning and found my head and feet where level thinking I must have been sliding down so my fault. I wish it covered more of an area though wrapping up on the sides. But I am happy with it and recommend this under quilt for the WBBB
admin –
It sounds like you maybe had the hammock setup so that you were laying on an incline and then slid down toward the foot end at some point with your feet then protruding past the end of the quilt. So,assuming that was the issue, you’d want to set the foot end higher in relation to the head end.

If you have a blackbird, why are you reading this? Go immediately to the top of the page and order this NOW! The wooki is that awesome. Seriously. Order now.

I have a WBBB XLC, and the wookie fit amazing. I purchased the 3-season UQ since it is not supposed to get all that cold where I am at; but it just so happened that the night I took it out, got down to 5 degrees and this still felt amazing under me; YMMV. I highly recommend this to anyone with a WBBB. It truly is a set it and forget it piece of equipment!

Received my Wookie much faster than expected. I purchased the Wookie and the Blackbird XLC because they are made in the USA and have been thoroughly impressed with the excellent quality and workmanship of both. Thank you for taking pride in your designs and your work.

Outstanding under quilt! I am so impressed with everything that Warbonnet Outdoors makes. I own a Blackbird XLC, a Superfly Tarp and now the Wooki XL 3 season. Totals up to an incredibly tough, lightweight camping/hiking rig. Wooki is so easy to set up and it totally eliminates cold spots. No adjusts necessary. First night was in mid 30’s and I was toasty all night. Thanks for top rate products!
Scott Johnson (verified owner) –
I have a blackbird and I’m the past have used a HG quilt (modified the BB by sewing some paracord loops along the seam so that the HG could clip into place).
This last week I tried out the Wookie. It was -5° and I was quite toasty all night. If anything, my underside was the warmest.
Mitch Wells (verified owner) –
Field report: I just returned from a five-night Grand Loop backpacking trip in Linville Gorge, NC and I can report that the Wooki packs small and delivers big warmth. I’m a back and side sleeper in my WBBB and never had a cold spot. The set-it-and-forget-it deployment is far superior to all of my previous under quilt experiences. My campmates were not so lucky, what with all the constant fiddling. Thanks for making a truly innovative product and for making it with pride in the USA!

Just received my under quilt , very nice you just clip it on and your done no adjustments needed and wow no cold spots like with others I am very happy with the quality and performance of this product it was well worth the price just like all there products it’s top of the line . Thank you WARBONNET you hit it out of the park with this one!!!

Perfect stitching. Perfect fit to my WBBB. This thing is fantastic. I love my Winter Yeti, and this seems even better. I took my Winter Yeti several days to 18 below zero with minus 36 wind chills and no warmth problems. Looking forward to the MN Frozen Butt and WI Frozen Cheese hangs using the Winter Wooki.
Dick –
This quilt has improved my experience. You set it and forget it. The fit is perfect. The workmanship is outstanding and the materials are state of the art. I am very happy.
Ezra (verified owner) –
The Wooki is an amazing innovation in underquilts. It offers a no hassle no fiddle factor approach of an underquilt integrated hammock but with the added ability to remove the quilt if needed. It is perfectly formed for your body laying in a hammock and so in my opinion it exceeds the performance of regular under quilts by a long shot.
