Winter Hammock Topcover:
The winter hammock Topcover zips on in place of the updated XLC bugnetting. It is used in cooler weather to cut the wind and trap a little extra heat. It’s made of a breathable, wind and water resistant 15 denier fabric. It has 2 built-in mesh air vents, one in the peak at the foot end and another near your shoulder that doubles as a window. It works just like the XLC net top but with solid fabric instead of netting. It will also zip directly to our underquilt protector to create a full-on winter sock (the Chinook) that puts you, your hammock, and all your insulation inside it’s own wind and water resistant breathable microclimate.Buy the Topcover and Underquilt protector together and use code: Chinook25 for $25 off your order.
Note: The new winter topcover will only fit the newly updated XLC purchased after October 2017.
Note: Bushwack Camo options have a current lead time of 3-4 weeks
Note: We have a few discounted blemished topcovers available on our SALE page

Another homerun from Warbonnet. Decided to add the winter top cover to my arsenal. It fits like a glove – was an easy transition and it a great cold weather addition. I can also say that I was pleasantly surprised when I saw how much area the side screen vent/window was. In the photo’s it looks like just a small section but it allows great air flow and also a great view. I am a tad claustrophobic and it does not bother me what-so-ever. Aside from my UQP… I own nothing but WBO and you should to!

I made this purchase to help keep in some extra warmth while camping in the winter in central Oregon. It definitely keeps the temp a few degrees warmer, all while breathing appropriately. Absolutely zero condensation after multiple uses! Great product!

I love this topcover, used on a night at was 13* and did not have any issues with condensation. The quality of the product is top notch. Would recommend this product to anyone looking for a little more winter protection.

Recently purchased the winter topcover and have a chance to use it at McAfee Knob. Conditions were 13* moderate winds and sleet. The topcover kept some extra heat in and kept the unwanted drafts out. I had no issues with condensation collecting on the underside of the topcover. As with all Warbonnet products the quality of construction is second to none. It was easy to install and fits perfectly. I would highly recommend this product to anyone seeking extra winter warmth.

I think the top cover is awesome even in the summer because generally I camp on our OUTDOORTREE.org service trips at high altitudes where it gets pretty chilly at nights and the top cover just makes it perfect on a chilly night. If I am planning on camping somewhere lower elevation I switch to the mesh but the winter topcover stays on for a lot of trips even in the summer. Great investment.
