The Warbonnet Stash Jacket is a lightweight jacket shell with no liner, making it incredibly light and packable. Made with our tarp fabric which is PFC-free and DWR-free and instead uses a silicone-coated nylon/polyester fabric without a DWR treatment. The silicone coating on the tarp fabric is a durable eco-friendly waterproof coating on both sides of the fabric that is designed to completely block both wind and water.
The Stash features no pockets itself, but it does have two giant 22″ long adjustable pit zips which allow for excellent ventilation and access to pockets you might have on layers you’re wearing underneath.
The seams are not seam sealed, but people report only very minimal to no water coming in through the seams even in a heavy downpour. Comes in it’s own stuffsac and packs to the size of an apple… perfect to stash away until needed.

I was hesitant to buy this jacket because I was worried about the sizing. I am 6’2″ and 315lbs. I don’t wear an XL anything. I really liked the look of the jacket and I wanted a jacket with long pit zips. After reading some reviews I decided to take a chance and order it. I am very glad I did because it is exactly what I was looking for in a wind jacket. The XL fits me perfectly. There is even
enough room for me to comfortably layer underneath. The entire jacket feels and looks well made. I like this jacket so much I ordered two more.

I’m very impressed with this jacket, and especially the hood. I’m reviewing an XL version made out of the tarp material. I’m 6′ 2″ and 240, and the cut is plenty large enough in the body to fit over several insulating layers. It is just long enough in the torso and sleeves, though, so I am glad that I did not get the L. The hood is fantastic, and was the first thing that I noticed because I’ve had many other more expensive rain coats and their hoods nearly always ended up restricting my vision while turning my head, while this Stash Jacket manages to give a nice snug fit no matter how I turn my head.
The zipper is large, which makes for easy use with gloves on. The side zips are great; I can even slip my hands into my pants pockets through them. The only changes that I would recommend that wouldn’t change the nature of the garment would be a lightweight drawstring incorporated into the waist to seal that against the wind, and perhaps just a little more length in the sleeves/torso.
I’m quite happy so far, and would recommend this.

I love this jacket. It is elegant in it’s simple design to fit over bulky jacket or just a t-shirt, 2-way zippered vents that allow access to your pockets, a draw string hood, and a little extra length in sleeves and the back to help cover your butt biking in the rain or sitting on a wet log. It does not have what it does not need: pockets ,or a two way zipper down the front because its stuff sack is so small it fits in the pocket of your shorts! At 5’9″ and 190 lb. my XL DWR fits comfortably over a bulky jacket and completely blocks the wind and the wet on the ATV or duck boat before dawn. But I think a size L would probably be adequate. It’s so small, lightweight and inexpensive, I plan to get at least one more: perfect to leave one in each pack for hunting, mountain biking, backcountry skiing, or even the golf bag! And I do love the custom “bushwhack” camo pattern too…

I bought my stash jacket about 5 months ago. I have used it extensively since purchasing both at work and on the trail. I purchased a larger size than needed because I wanted “air circulation” to keep cool when wearing on the trail and the room to wear thicker clothes underneath it. Because I ordered a larger size, the jacket hangs about mid-thigh, which I love because I get great rain coverage. I have worn this in some serious wind and rain, and have not gotten wet at all. I love how the hoodie fits and does not allow water to run down my neck. The elastic on the sleeve is not too tight either. I do not feel the zippers underneath the arms at all – they do not “catch or scratch” my arms or clothes. I haven’t had any rain leaks in the zippers. This is the first raincoat that I actually like. It packs up so compact, you can take it anywhere at anytime. I love it!

I just received my Stash Jacket. I am 6’4″ 310 lbs. I purchased the XL and am pleased at its size. The jacket is very light weight, fits into a small stuff sack provided with the jacket, and all of the stitching and zippers were very clean. I believe I can easily add a hoodie or thin packable down jacket without causing the stash to become tight on my body. Living in Florida I primarily just need a solid rain protector and this jacket will be part of my every day carry. Thanks for another piece of quality equipment!!

This really is a fantastic, super-lightweight waterproof layer. You’re gonna sweat inside if you’re active in this thing, but that’s what you’re getting here: a fully waterproof shell that blocks rain completely, and it’s better to be wet and warm from your sweat on the inside than it is to wet out and carry a bunch of cold rain that soaked through. Pit zips are huge and ventilate the jacket very well, btw.
If I was to change one thing about the Stash Jacket, I’d sacrifice a little of the weight to add elastic around the waist; this thing is so lightweight, it has a tendency to ride up a bit on me otherwise, which lets in a little more wind than I’d like.
I’m 6’2″, 205 lb. with a long torso and arms; the large fits me very well around the hood and body, though it’s a little big around the waist.

We are now offering this jacket in 2 different fabric types, our silicone coated tarp fabric which is less breathable but more water resistant, and also our downproof quilt fabric which is much more breathable but not quite as waterproof as the tarp fabric.
