These covers are great.
The main motivation for this purchase was so I would be able to carry a day to day pack that wasn’t military looking but still have the ability to camouflage this pack (and shield weather) if the need arises. Even if you line your pack with a dry bag, a wet pack weighs a lot more. For the almost negligible weight of one of these covers – they are a great addition. The fabric is smooth but not shiny. Repels water quite well. Bushwack camo and bushwack snowday patterns (the 2 that I have) provide an excellent macro break up that blends well in many forested environments. Under night vision (Gen3 Harder) and thermal (FLIR Breach) imaging they also blended quite well, although I cannot speak to if it is or is not NIR compliant. Under an IR illuminator they are a little more visible, but not obvious as the macro pattern still holds it together and doesn’t glow like it’s radioactive. If you are looking for a pack cover – I would recommend. I’m running the XL size over top of Hill People Gear Ute and Qui Ya packs, as well as an older Savotta LJK and they fit perfectly. The XL will also shrink down to fit a smaller, 28L pack, although I use bungees in this case (part of my shelter kit anyway) to wrap around it just to make sure it stays put.
