Product Description

Current Lead time to ship is about 3-4 weeks on average

The Mamba is our dedicated Topquilt. The regular is 48″ wide while the XL is 55″ wide. They both have a round-bottom mummy-style footbox, come in both 3 season and winter versions, and are available as either regular(up to 5’10”) or XL(up to 6’4”). The 3-season is baffled to 2” and the winter to 3.5”, and they are both made from our 20 Denier High Threadcount DWR ripstop shell fabric overstuffed with 850 Fill Power Hyper-Dry Goose down that meets the new RSD certification (Responsible Down Certification) . The footbox comes up to just below the knees, and there is a tie-off point 6” higher up to extend the footbox farther if desired. It also has another tie-off and an elastic drawcord at the top end to create a tight seal around your neck if needed.

The design is newly updated, We’re now running the baffles from head to toe (was previously side to side). This creates a more consistent loft resulting in greater heat efficiency

Only just received this top quilt so review for now will only be based on initial unboxing. All I can say is warbonnet makes some top quality equipment. Only the best materials go into their product and every stitch is perfect. I am confident that this quilt will supply all my hammocking needs. Thank you Warbonnet and I will update when I actually get to try this Mamba out on the trail

Haven’t used it in the back country yet but have slept with it many nights. Wish the foot box was a bit bigger, and the quilt opened up all the way, but I knew this before ordering it so, its cool.
Build time was 2x longer than expected so plan accordingly. All in all I recommend this quilt if your looking for a lightweight down quilt for hanging or general use.

I haven’t had a chance to use my top quilts in cold weather yet. I did use it on a 60 degree night the day it came in. I bundled it with my winter bottom as we were expecting a cold front that never happened. After I moved my bottom quilt to the side I was extremely comfortable hanging in my blackbird during the 2 night trip.

I am new to topquilts, so I really don’t have much to compare it to, but I have been extremely happy with the Mamba so far. It is lightweight, warm, and compresses nicely. Will not be going back to a sleeping bag.

I became an avid hammock camper a year or two ago, ditching tents altogether. Slowly but surely, I’ve been researching and acquiring the gear I need. I’m comfortable in the Spring and Summer but always sleep cold in the Fall and Winter no matter what I’ve tried. I figuted I’d start cheap, skip the expensive underquilts, topquilts, etc and just go out with the hammock, tarp, sleeping pad and sleeping bag or wool blanket. That hasn’t worked though so I’ve been saving for a few months to get a top quilt and underquilt. I bought the Mamba top quilt after much research and I have to be honest… it is the best investment I’ve made besides my Blackbird XLC. Warbonnet always makes superior quality gear and I cannot recommend them enough. I prefer Brandon’s work to everyone else in the business

Expensive, but well worth the money. Very comfortable. The blackbird hammock and top quilt are so comfortable I hung them in the house and use them for EDS. (every day sleep)

This bad boy will keep you warm and toasty. I have tested it out down to 28 degree f. Had some cold spots under my feet and knees from where the yeti underquilt doesn’t extend too. Packs down fairly small in the provided stuff sack for the size that it is. Get a compression bag and it will compress even smaller. Amazing top quilt!

I own both the Mamba XL20d and XL0d top quilts and could not be happier with them. I have owned them for a little over a year now and have ALWAYS stayed warm. I use them not only in my Warbonnet Blackbird, but also in my tent or bivy. The craftsmanship is great, and I love investing into local companies despite being an outdoor sales specialist and access to “good deals” on big box, over seas produced product. Warbonnet is an awesome company!

I bought the 3 season XL (6’0). Slept like a baby on a 45 degree and breezy night. The quilt is super warm and impressively light.
