100′ mini-spool. 1.75mm single braid dyneema. ~400 lbs. break strength

Learned some good lessons from my last camping trip. Traveling up a steep mountain with a fifty pound backpack, and finding other backpackers went south to access the same trail in another state— to avoid the mountain— I decided to review what I took and go light. Looked at all the heavy cord I took and said not again. This guyline from Warbonnet is perfect: a lot smaller than my other cord, a lot lighter than my other cord, and breaking strength way (way!) greater than the other cord. A pound here and a pound there and I will get a light backpack for the next trip.

I ordered this while under the impression that it was the very dark color that Warbonnet has used in previous years. It is a very light grey color; not as dark as I have received on Warbonnet hammocks in the past.
It is of course high quality and still functions perfectly. Just know that it is a very light grey in color.

You know how hard it is to get black guyline? Well I don’t like the crazy 1970’s colors so it was nice to find it here.

This lightweight cord is very strong and perfect for guy lines and food bags in bear country. Why lug heavy tubular nylon or paracord when you can use dyneema cord that weighs considerably less?

I’ve never used guyline like this before, but I’m hooked. It is so strong that once you tie a knot, it is secure, but the knots are easy to untie even in strong winds.
My night vision isn’t what it used to be so I did trip over the lines a couple of times. Next time I will buy a color rather than grey. Love this.
Not that bad
