Buckle set for one hammock. 1.3oz per hammock set
I have been using tree huggers to whoopies. I like the transition think I am going to stay with it.
I am abit of a heavey guy and found that the strap buckle suspention is not only the most secure way to hang (imo) but it is one of the simpllest ways to hang as well.
No need for toggles and whoopies or tree huggers and fancy hardware, just a strap and buckle and your done.
The buckles are pretty lightweight and very easy to get used to.
I am in the proccess of transfering all my hammocks over to these bucklers..
If you don’t know much about the Dyneema rope used in this buckle setup you might think it won’t hold up. As a result the tape that attaches to the buckles seem way stronger and then it meets up with a thin rope. Kind of an ackward look. The rope however is VERY strong (or it wouldn’t be there). Do look at the video of how to replace it if necessary.
A very well constructed piece of equipment that is simple and easy to use.
I am fairly new to hammock camping and have been putting my rig together piecemeal over the past year. After seeing a few internet videos about suspension, I decided to start with marlin spike hitches in my webbing. After a few uses, I realized the marlin spike hitch was frustrating to adjust. So, after hearing about Warbonnet Outdoors from a friend, I was excited to see they had instructional videos on their site. They also sell all the accessories for the hammocks and suspension separately. I decided to purchase the 1″ buckle set for my rig. After trying them out, I couldn’t be more pleased. They are high quality and much lighter than I had expected. They are very easy to adjust and will work with just about any hammock.
Warbonnet you guys have built the best hammock I’ve ever seen
It’s exactly what we look for in a camping hammock you guys are great.
